Are your plants ready?

Predicting when varieties are ready is a bit of an art, it is our job but it is a natural product which means things like the weather, germination, sequential sowings etc. all have their part to play. To complicate the matter, all your orders are different, so we may have 90% of your varieties ready to go but waiting on one before it can be dispatched to you. So it is a juggling act getting the orders out of the door to your garden.

We want to inform you how the plants are coming on and when they will be available to be dispatched, with over 150 varieties now available through the growing season, and in away so that you can find out the information 24/7. This is not to replace the personal contact and if you have any question regarding your order please just drop us an email or give us a call at the office (01354 740553).

So we are testing a traffic light system:

Plants are ready and being dispatched in the current week
Plants are nearly ready and will be dispatch the following week
Plants are on hold or finished.

Helping to predict when you plants are ready. Hopefully it will give you the information you want and do remember we try and dispatch the whole order in one go so if some of the plants are not ready, these will dictate when plants are being dispatched.

This information is displayed on each product through the website.

Delivery Information

Postal Changes for October only

As you will be aware this week marks the start of official industrial action by the staff of Royal Mail. So far we have been able to work round the unofficial strike action with only a few hiccups. However, for our plants, we can not risk them getting stuck in a sorting office therefore we moving these final deliveries to another postal service, sadly it means there is an increased cost (£6.25 compared to our normal £4.20). This does not effect current orders (any order taken before 19th October), only new orders, if we are able to send your plants out using Royal Mail Service, we will refund the difference (£2.05).

Sundries, Books & Seeds

These are sent a few days after your order throughout the year, postage is calculated part of the price and added to your basket.

Collections

Exclusively available on the website, these collections significantly increase the range of varieties we offer. They are excellent value, offering considerable savings, whilst still only small quantities of plants. They are sent out separately from the main plants (Selection and pick & mix) and include postage and packing in their price.

Potatoes

As these are heavy items, their postage and packing are calculated on weight and associated charges are added separately to the main plants.

We wanted to offer a service for our customers and for the whole country, so we have chosen the Post Office Standard Parcel service to delivery the potatoes this year. Royal Mail will deliver most Standard Parcels by the third working day after posting, including Saturdays, however, this service is not guaranteed.
